Rooted in its local community, the College supports more than 10,000 learners each year, helping people of all ages progress into employment, apprenticeships and further study.
The College is committed to outstanding teaching and learning and to the transformative impact of education. Guided by its mission, “to inspire our community through learning for all”, South Devon College places aspiration, inclusion, innovation, support and progress at the centre of its work. For young people, this commitment is reflected in a strong focus on high-quality education that supports academic achievement, personal development and progression to positive future destinations.
As the largest local provider of Further and Higher Education, South Devon College plays an important civic role and works closely with regional partners to support long-term social and economic growth through education. In 2023, the College was reaccredited with a Platinum award by Investors in People.
Higher education provision is delivered through University Centre South Devon (UCSD), based at the Paignton campus. Granted Foundation Degree Awarding Powers in 2019, UCSD offers employability-focused degree courses in partnership with the University of Plymouth, delivered within a supportive and student-centred learning environment.
