Since 1988, The Mare and Foal Sanctuary has been rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming horses and ponies in need. We provide a safe haven for equines who have faced neglect, abandonment, or abuse. Our Welfare and Rehoming team offer practical, non-judgmental support to struggling horse owners, and work with the police, RSPCA and other agencies to rescue horses from crisis situations. Many of these animals require specialised care and extended recovery times. We also offer Equine Assisted Services, supporting vulnerable young people and adults through guided interactions with our horses to improve wellbeing. We are committed to sustainability, using holistic grazing and biodiversity practices that create a natural and enriching environment for our horses, promote wildlife and reduce our environmental impact.
