Established in July 2020, SWISCo operates as a Local Authority Trading Company (LATCo) , delivering statutory services throughout the Bay on behalf of Torbay Council. Examples of such services include waste and recycling services; parks and grounds maintenance; highways management and maintenance and street cleansing.

Since its inception, at the height of the pandemic, the company has gone from strength to strength, growing as a business year on year and working hard to make a tangible difference to the residents of the Bay.

While most residents are now familiar with the services SWISCo delivers on behalf of the council, fewer are aware that SWISCo also has a commercial arm to the business; this enables us to offer competitive prices in a variety of service areas outside of our regular commitments to the council. Significantly, we offer a comprehensive business waste and recycling service, covering areas from Event Waste Management to Business Bulk Item collections.
